The association urged extreme caution when installing OpenClaw on terminals used for online banking, securities trading or payments. If users deem installation necessary, the notice recommends withholding permissions that allow the agent to operate core financial systems, closely following vulnerability patches, tightly controlling any plugins, and avoiding entry of identity numbers, bank cards or payment passwords while the app is running.
Separately, the association also warned that such agents frequently call large-model APIs during operation, a behavior that can generate significant token fees; it advised users to monitor service usage and costs. That combination of security risk and potentially unexpected recurring charges frames the notice as both a consumer-protection and operational-resilience alert for individual users and institutions alike.
The advisory comes amid a wider surge of AI assistants and autonomous “agent” software that integrate with mobile and desktop environments.
