China Records Export Growth Across Industrial Sectors and Consumer Goods

People's Daily reports that Wang Jun, spokesperson and vice minister of the General Administration of Customs, outlined national trade figures during a press briefing regarding import and export conditions across the first three quarters of 2026. National goods exports expanded by 16.4% across the three quarters, while exports during the third quarter grew by 22%. Production-side industries showed strong momentum over the three quarters. Ship exports grew by 24.6%, with green-fuel models using methanol and ammonia undergoing continuous upgrades alongside multiplying shipments of large liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas, and oil vessels. Furthermore, industrial robot exports grew by 16.9%, electronic components rose by 70%, electrical equipment like wires and cables expanded by 25.3%, basic organic chemicals grew by 24.4%, and primary-form plastics increased by 32.2%. On the consumer front, businesses responded to individualized, scenario-driven global demands. Domestic enterprises designed portable shooting equipment with person-following capabilities, voice and gesture control, and AI automated editing tailored for first-person short-video creators. Digital camera exports increased by 40.5% over the three quarters, accompanied by specialized consumer goods such as camping mini ice makers and portable air conditioners.
