Hainan Backs Prefabricated Building Sector With Incentives and Facility Upgrades

China News Service reported that Hainan has distributed financial awards and subsidies to prefabricated building production enterprises to advance high-quality construction and green development, according to Tang Qiaoyu, deputy director of the raw material industry division of the Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Tang stated that the province is optimizing the spatial distribution of the sector and reinforcing local component supplies, focusing on supporting the Lingao Jinpaigang Development Zone to build a prefabricated construction base while coordinating capacity for concrete and steel structures. To assist market participants, Hainan includes eligible projects in key project databases, addresses corporate appeals, and provides policy funds covering technical transformation and innovation cultivation to lower operational production expenses and encourage higher business investment. The province is also steering prefabricated construction companies toward digital and ecological upgrades through provincial transformation guidelines and green building material pilot plans, leading multiple firms to gain designations as smart factories and green factories.

Tang Qiaoyu stated that the Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen whole-cycle tracking services for projects and instruct companies on utilizing supportive industrial policies to assist the province's construction sector development.
