The Brief

China News Service reported that red chili sauce loaded at the Handan Jize International Logistics Industrial Park in Jize County, Handan, Hebei Province, is scheduled to travel on the train route to Hanoi, Vietnam, before distribution to locations across Southeast Asia. Yan Jinfa, deputy director of the Jize County bonded logistics service center, stated that the logistics park uses a layout structured into three functional sections, comprising the Caozhuangzhen station railway operational area, an international freight train assembly zone, and a port-adjacent industrial zone. Yan said the logistics park centers on regular operations of the ASEAN train route, having constructed Caozhuangzhen station alongside built bonded and supervision warehouses, a storage and distribution center, and a storage yard, with completed railway customs supervision facilities prepared to enter operational use. Yan also explained that export cargo categories expanded from fasteners and PVC boards to items including municipal castings, strollers, chili sauce, and pet food, drawing goods across Hebei cities and areas of Shandong and Henan within 200 kilometers. Yan added that the Handan Jize International Logistics Industrial Park is accelerating an upgrade from an individual logistics node into a comprehensive foreign trade platform integrating logistics, industry, trade, and finance, targeting development into an international logistics distribution hub base in south-central Hebei.

Why it matters

Zhang Jie, head of Liaocheng Taiyin Automation Technology Co., Ltd., stated that consolidating 30 tons of bearings in Jize to reach ASEAN via combined road and rail shortened shipping times and lowered overall logistics costs compared to earlier highway transfers to coastal seaports.

China context

Construction of the Handan Jize International Logistics Industrial Park began in 2016, and the site has spent ten years transforming from a single train line and standard logistics node into an opening-up platform serving surrounding territories.
