2026 China Automation Congress Opens in Beijing to Explore Frontiers in Intelligent Technology

People's Daily reported that the 2026 China Automation Congress, organized by the Chinese Association of Automation, opened in Beijing on October 31. Domestic and international representatives from academia and industry gathered to discuss frontiers in automation and intelligent technology across academic exploration, industrial transformation, cross-disciplinary innovation, and youth talent development. At the opening ceremony, domestic and international experts and scholars delivered thematic reports targeting intelligent frontiers and evolving automation technologies, focusing on topics such as intelligent body control and new organizational intelligence in the post-intelligence era, embodied industrial artificial intelligence, and the computability of consciousness alongside boundaries of general intelligence. The event concurrently organized 65 parallel sessions covering subjects including embodied intelligence, world models, large model multi-agent systems, sensing decision control, intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment, energy-computing-electricity coordination, and artificial intelligence empowerment, featuring research findings presented by specialists from universities, research institutes, and enterprises. Additionally, the gathering established a comprehensive exhibition zone comprising six thematic areas, including an automation history display, member interactive areas, youth technological achievements, talent matchmaking, cutting-edge achievements, and project roadshows.
