China Electronic Information Manufacturing Expands Production and Export Deliveries

Xinhua News Agency reported that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology alongside the National Bureau of Statistics released operational data for the electronic information manufacturing sector covering 2026 from January to August, showing positive signs of steady improvement as value added for enterprises above designated size rose 15.7 percent year on year while export delivery value increased 8.2 percent. National Bureau of Statistics data indicated that electronic industry profits grew 1.1 times year on year across the first eight months, contributing a 62.0 percent share to overall profit growth among industrial enterprises above designated size, while business revenue expanded by 20.1 percent compared to the same period. According to Ministry of Industry and Information Technology figures, export delivery value for enterprises above designated size climbed 8.2 percent year on year from January to August, representing an acceleration of 0.2 percentage points over January to July, alongside a 9.3 percent year-on-year increase during the month of August alone. Liang Linjun stated that the ongoing export expansion displayed structural characteristics, with increments driven mainly by integrated circuits, computing equipment, and related intermediate products, whereas conventional consumer electronic devices had not yet recorded broad market recovery.

Liang Linjun noted that data center construction pushed the expansion of integrated circuits, computing systems, and communication interconnection gear, leading to tightened supply conditions that elevated prices for selected products while expanding market demand across electric vehicles, industrial controls, and the Internet of Things.
