China Records Rapid Foreign Trade Growth Across First Three Quarters

People's Daily reported that General Administration of Customs deputy head Wang Jun announced foreign trade expanded by 18.8% year-on-year across the first three quarters, marking the fastest expansion pace for the identical period in five years. Quarterly growth rates accelerated sequentially across the year, registering 15.3% in the first quarter, 18.3% in the second quarter, and 22.3% in the third quarter. Combined trade of industrial robots, electronic components, computer parts, and electrical equipment expanded by 58.9%, driving total trade expansion upward by 11.3 percentage points, while independent brand exports grew by 26.7%. Trade expanded with more than 180 countries and regions globally, and trade with free trade partners rose by 30%, contributing more than seventy percent of foreign trade increments. Wang stated that export gains stemmed primarily from China having a complete industrial chain system, expanding advanced manufacturing, and strengthening overall competitive capability.
