The Brief

People's Daily reported that the Qingyang Economic Development Zone in Chengdu, Sichuan, serves as a major domestic complete aircraft industrial base. Covering an area of 4.7 square kilometers, it gathers more than 300 key aviation supporting enterprises and has formed a closed loop spanning research, development, manufacturing, and flight test verification. To provide physical space for research headquarters and intelligent manufacturing bases, the zone adjusted commercial and residential land into industrial land. The 611 Qingyang Aircraft Design Innovation Collaborative Center, co-built by Qingyang District and the Aviation Industry Chengdu Aircraft Design and Research Institute, houses more than 40 supply-chain enterprises working in the same building with core enterprises and research institutes. Starting in 2024, the development zone implemented a three-level service system linking the management committee, property managers, and enterprises, deploying grid personnel to handle enterprise requests ranging from greenery maintenance to property rights registration and tax handling.
