Chinese Medical Equipment Makers Showcase Capsule Endoscopes and Surgical Robots at Canton Fair

China News Service reported that peanut-sized intelligent capsule endoscopes drew the attention of overseas buyers at the 140th Canton Fair. Patients only need to swallow the capsule, which transmits clear real-time stomach images to a screen through an accompanying recorder and mobile application. A laparoscopic surgical robot also conducted simulated suturing demonstrations at the fair booth. Operators manipulated robotic arms using an open console to complete suturing and knotting, attracting buyers from countries including Russia and Italy. Harbin Sage Medical enterprise representative Li Hanying stated that their self-developed laparoscopic surgical robot assists doctors with high-difficulty precision surgical procedures. The company expanded business into multiple regions across Europe and Africa this year, providing local doctors with operational training and technical support through overseas partners. Liu Sizhe, assistant to the chairman of Guangzhou Side Medical Technology Co., Ltd., stated that their product has achieved commercial sales in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. The firm plans to expand beyond a single examination device into comprehensive health management services.

Angolan buyer Pedro Pissarra from a local medical institution examined portable endoscopes at the fair, reporting satisfaction with the quality of Chinese equipment after an on-site trial and announcing plans to conduct product trials in primary medical institutions.
