The Brief

Xinhua News Agency reported that JD Logistics launched Chaonao 3.0, representing the logistics industry's first industrial-grade large model application system providing AI direction from warehousing through delivery. The deployment marks the largest-scale application of AI large models across entire supply chain processes. A JD Logistics representative stated that Chaonao 3.0 integrates five supply chain native industrial-grade large models: PreX forecasting, OptiX decision-making, OmniX multimodal, GeoX spatiotemporal, and EmbodiedX embodied models. Together, these native components establish a technical structure spanning decision AI, process AI, and physical AI. The representative explained that decision AI unifies multimodal data covering orders, warehouse networks, vehicles, and locations, enabling PreX to forecast supply and demand while OptiX computes optimal operational parameters. Chaonao 3.0 updates decisions in seconds during real-time operational shifts, achieving an automated vehicle dispatch rate of 86%. Under Chaonao 3.0 dispatch, Wolf series robots operate across full-link logistics stages. Canglang robots cover over 85% of warehouse operations, Yilang sorting arms maintain a sorting accuracy rate of 99.9%, and Dulang unmanned delivery vehicles deployed across multiple regions have reduced station transport costs by 21%.

China context

Logistics digitization previously concentrated on isolated single links like storage, transport, sorting, and delivery, which lacked effective neural connections between stages. Because an individual package must pass through dozens of separate business systems with fragmented data and differing standards, cross-link collaboration remained an ongoing operational difficulty across the industry.

Key Takeaways

  • 1JD Logistics launched Chaonao 3.0 as an integrated full-process AI direction framework for supply chain operations.
  • 2The platform incorporates five native industrial models, enabling second-level decision updates and an 86% vehicle automated scheduling rate.
  • 3Wolf series frontline deployments achieved 99.9% sorting accuracy and lowered station transport costs by 21%.
